SEME - Mailbox

Brrr, ist das kalt! Wir waren gerade kurz draußen, ich brauchte noch Leim, also sind wir zum Kreativmarkt gelatscht. Auf dem Rückweg haben wir am See angehalten und wollten die Enten füttern. Tja, leider war da eine Horde von Möwen, die den armen Enten und Wildgänsen alles weggefressen hat... brrr und nun bin ich total durchgefroren ;)

Brrr, it's cold! As I still needed paste we went to the creative market. On the way back we stopped at the pond and wanted to feed the ducks. Well, there was a horde of seagulls which ate all the bread instead of the ducks and brants... brrr and now I'm totally freezed ;)

Nun aber mal zum heutigen SEME Thema! Unsere liebe Tanja hat eine tolle Anleitung für eine amerikanische Mailbox geschrieben und die Chance habe ich doch schnell mal genutzt, um eine seit zwei Wochen überfällige Geschenkverpackung zu werkeln!

But now to today's SEME theme! Our lovely Tanja wrote a wonderful tutorial for an US mailbox and I took the chance to make a gift box which I needed since two weeks now.

 

Also ich finde ja, dass diese Mailbox auch ganz wunderbar als Geschenkverpackung zum Thema Geburt passt. Eine meiner Freundinnen hat vor zwei Wochen ein Baby bekommen, passend dazu habe ich meine Mailbox gestaltet.

I think that you can perfectly use the mailbox as a welcome baby gift. One of my friends gave birth to her baby two weeks ago, so this is why I decorated my mailbox like it is now.

Das Grundgerüst habe ich aus festerem Karton gebaut und dann mit Imaginisce "King of the Crib" Design Papier beklebt. Die süße Magnolia Sleeping Baby Tilda hatte ich mir vor längerer Zeit schon gekauft und jetzt endlich mal eingeweiht. Ich habe sie mit Aquarellstiften und Shimmerz Angel Wings so coloriert, dass aus Tilda ein Junge wurde ;). Das Baby passte einfach wunderbar auf die Mailbox und schläft nun gemütlich im Magnolia DooHickey Gras. Die kleinen Blümchen sind von QuicKutz, die Schmetterlinge von Magnolia und die C.C. Cutters Wolken von C.C. Designs. Die Buchstaben und Zahlen habe ich mit dem QuicKutz Moxie Alphabet ausgestanzt.

I made the mailboxes base from cardboard and adhered it with Imaginisce "King of the Crib" pattern paper. I bought the cute Magnolia Sleeping Baby Tilda some months ago and finally used it. I colored the image with watercolor pencils and Shimmerz Angel Wings to get a little boy ;) The baby was matching perfectly to the mailbox and is now sleeping cozy in the Magnolia DooHickey Grass. The small flowers are from QuicKutz, the butterglies are Magnolia and the C.C. Cutters clouds by C.C. Designs. I cut the letters and numbers with the QuicKutz Moxie alphabet.

Das Fähnchen habe ich mit dem "And baby makes three" Spruch von C.C. Designs bestempelt, der ist leider aus einem Set, welches es nicht mehr zu kaufen gibt, passte aber hier ganz wunderbar. Zugemacht wird meine Mailbox über das Bändchen vorn, an welches ich einen Klettverschluss angebracht habe. Ich hatte leider nur schwarzes Klettklebeband hier, aber für die nächsten Projekte habe ich mir vorhin im Kreativmarkt ganz kleine weiße Klettpunkte besorgt *höhö*. Sowas passiert mir nicht nochmal.

I stamped the cute C.C. Designs "And baby makes three" sentiment to the flag. Unfortunately the sentiment is a retired one but it was so matching to my baby mailbox idea. You can close the mailbox with the ribbon. I added a hook-and-loop fastener but I only had a black one. For other projects I now bought small white hook-and-loop dots when I was at the creative market earlier today *lol*. This won't happen again to me.

Mein Schenki passt auch genau in diese Mailbox hinein und ich bin supergespannt, ob den frischgebackenen Eltern dann auch alles gefallen wird *hoff*. Hat auf jeden Fall viel Spaß gemacht mal wieder etwas anderes als eine Karte zu basteln!

The gift I bought is matching into this mailbox and I really hope that the freshly baked parents will like everything *hope*. I really enjoyed making something else than a card!

Habt ihr euch schon die neuen Sweet November Motive angesehen? Einfach zauberhaft. Und heute dreht sich alles um die neuen C.C. Cutters Woodland Stanzformen!

Tonight at 10 p.m. CST the new C.C. Designs stamps and C.C. Cutters will be released at All That Scraps. I can tell you that they are a must-have for every pixies and fantasy fan like me! Did you already see the new Sweet November images? Just enchanting. And today it's all about the new C.C. Cutters Woodland dies!

Okay, auf Woodland Lucy konnte ich nicht verzichten! Ich habe eine Szene aus dem wunderschönen Designpapier gemacht, welches ich irgendwann mal in einem DT Paket hatte und deshalb auch leider die Firma nicht kenne. Die Bäume habe ich jedenfalls als Basis genommen, das Magnolia DooHickey Gras ausgestanzt und davor den neuen C.C. Cutters Mushroom Border gesetzt. Die Pilze habe ich aus SU Savanne Cardstock ausgestanzt, den Grasteil mit dem oliven SU Kissen und die Pilzköpfe mit dem VersaFine Vintage Sepia Kissen eingefärbt. Außerdem habe ich die neue C.C. Cutters Acorns and Leaves Stanzform heißlaufen lassen und die Eicheln und Blätter an den Bäumen verteilt. Der süße Spruch ist aus dem neuen AmyR Be Happy Sentiments Set. Woodland Lucy hat sich im Wald gemütlich an den Baum gelehnt, da sie mal eine kleine Pause braucht. Waldelfen sind eben vielbeschäftigte Wesen! Da der Hintergrund noch etwas langweilig war, habe ich einfach noch die kleinen Halbperlenschnörkel aufgeklebt. Stellt euch einfach kleine Insekten vor, die solche Schnörkel hinter sich herziehen.

Okay, I couldn't resist to use Woodland Lucy! I made a scene from the wonderful pattern paper. Unfortunately I don't know the brand because it was a part of one of my DT parcels. I took the tree as my base, cut the Magnolia DooHickey grass and added it behind the new C.C. Cutters Mushroom Border. The mushrooms have been cut from SU kraft cardstock and inked with SU olive (grass) and VersaFine Vintage Sepia (heads) ink pads. I also used the new C.C. Cutters Acorn and Leaves die and hung the acorns and leaves to the trees. The cute sentiment is from the new AmyR Be Happy Sentiments set. Woodland Lucy just needed a little break and sat down in front of a tree. You have to know that woodland pixies are busy creatures! As the background was just a little too boring I still added the pearl swirls. Just imagine some small bugs flying around.

Heute startet die neue All That Scraps Wednesday Challenge mit dem Thema "Anything Goes" und da wir uns ja zurzeit in der Previewphase für die neuen C.C. Designs Februarstempel befinden, möchte ich euch eine weitere neue Swiss Pixies Elfe vorstellen.

Today the new All That Scraps Wednesday Challenge is starting with the theme "Anything Goes" and as we are in the middle of our preview phase for the new C.C. Designs february stamps I want to introduce you another new Swiss Pixies fairy.

Dies ist Pixie Lucy. Auf dem nächsten Bild könnt ihr sie auch ganz sehen! Habt ihr das spitze Ohr gesehen? Hach, ich liebe diese neuen Elfen! Ich weiß, ich wiederhole mich ;) Beim SEME hatten wir vor kurzem eine Anleitung für eine Schneekugelkarte und ich hatte da ja bereits gesagt, dass eine Schneekugel nicht unbedingt winterlich gestaltet werden muss. So habe ich dieses Mal eine Waldelfen-Schneekugel gestaltet. Den oberen Rand habe ich mit einem Martha Stewart Stanzer gemacht. Die Eichel und die Blätter sind mit der neuen C.C. Cutters Acorns and Leaves Stanzform gestanzt und der Spruch ist aus dem neuen AmyR Be Happy Sentiments Set.

This is Pixie Lucy. You can see the whole image on the next picture! Did you see her spiky ear? I so love the new pixies! I know I already told you that ;) Some weeks ago we shared a tutorial for a snow globe card over at SEME and like I already wrote that you don't have to decorate a wintery snow globe. So this is why I made a woodland pixies snow globe. The upper edge has been made with a Martha Stewart punch. The acorn and leaves have been cut with the new C.C. Cutters Acorns and Leaves die and the sentiment is from the new AmyR Be Happy Sentiments set.

Pixie Lucy sitzt im Wald, wo auch viele Pilze wachsen. Die Pilze sind mit der neuen C.C. Cutters Mushroom Border Stanzform und die Bäume bzw. Sträucher mit der C.C. Cutters Leafy Branch Stanzform gestanzt. Die Pilzbordüre habe ich mit Stempelkissen eingefärbt. Das Siegel ist aus dem neuen Woodland Logos Set, ausgestanzt mit dem C.C. Cutters Cirle und dem SU Wellenkreis hinterlegt. Die Punkte sind ein Stamps by Judith Stempel.

Pixie Lucy is sitting in the woods where also mushrooms are growing. The mushrooms have been cut with the the new C.C. Cutters mushroom border die and the trees or bushes have been cut with the C.C. Cutters Leafy Branch die. I inked the mushrooms with an ink pad. The seal is from the new Woodland Logos set, cut with the matching C.C. Cutters Cirle and matted with one of the SU scalloped circles. The dots are a Stamps by Judith stamp.

 

Die Schneekugelkarte habe ich aus Stampin' Up! Savanne und Mattgrün Cardstock sowie Imaginisce Designpapier (s. Foto 1) gemacht. Pixie Lucy habe ich mit Aquarellstiften coloriert und die Flügel mit Shimmerz Angel Wings bemalt.
