JM - #13 A sketch by Mina

Wow! Es ist schon wieder Freitag *juhu*. Die erste Arbeitswoche nach dem Urlaub verging glücklicherweise schnell, ich hoffe das bleibt bis zu meinem nächsten Urlaub so *haha*. In ein paar Stunden beginnt das Wochenende und somit auch die neue Just Magnolia Challenge #13 "A sketch by Mina".

Wow! It's already Friday again *yay*. My first week in the office after my holidays ran fast, what a luck. I hope this will keep on until my next holidays *heehee*. In a few hours the weekend will begin and so the new Just Magnolia Challenge #13 "A sketch by Mina".

Für meine Karte wollte ich natürlich eines der neuen ClubKit Motive verwenden und da habe ich mich für die kleine eisschleckende Tilda entschieden und ein paar Blumen in den Hintergrund gestempelt. Die Karte sollte sommerlich sein, aber auf rosa wollte ich nicht verzichten, also habe ich rot und rosa kombiniert, da beide Farben auch auf dem Designpapier auftauchen.

I wanted to use one of the new images from the clubkit and decided to take the cute popsicle Tilda and the new flowers for the background. As I wanted to make a summery card but didn't want to resign of pink I combined it with red. Both colors are on the pattern paper as well.

Da das breite rosa Ribbon farblich so gut dazu passte, habe ich Tilda noch schnell weiße Punkte mit dem Gelstift auf ihr Oberteil gemalt. Der Papierstreifen im Hintergrund war mir zu kahl, die roten Punkte waren schon aufgedruckt, die andere Seite war mit hellen Blumen bedruckt, aber ich habe einfach mit rotem Chalkkissen den Stempelglede Grungeborder darübergestempelt. Der Spruch außen ist aus dem Friends Sentiments Set von AmyR, das benutze ich wirklich oft, ich weiß! Ich habe den Spruch auf ein Tag gestempelt, welches ich mit der QK ausgestanzt habe. Die Blumen, Spacer und Brads sind von embellishments.de.

The big pink ribbon had the matching color so I draw white dots with a gel pen on Tilda's dress, too. The scrap in the background was just too plain. There were the red dots printed on it and light yellow flowers but I stamped the Stempelglede grunge border with red chalk ink over them. The sentiment (outside) is from AmyR's Friends Sentiments set. I know I use it alot! I stamped the sentiment on a QuicKutz tag. The flowers, spacers and brads are from embellishments.de.

Und JAAA! Ich habe es endlich geschafft wieder die Innenseite mitzugestalten. In den letzten Wochen hat mir das einfach viel zu lange gedauert. Ich sitze bis zu 6 Stunden an einer Karte und das war mir im Urlaub einfach zu viel und nach der Arbeit stresst das schon, weil ich immer erst nach Mitternacht ins Bett komme *hüstel*. ABER ich habe mich gestern zusammengerissen und einfach weiter gestempelt! Der coole Spruch ist von Simon Says Stamp aus dem "Woodland Creatures" Set. Ich finde der passt echt gut, da "popsicle" ja Eis am Stiel heißt und ich das "poppin by" hier als Wortspiel lustig fand. Damit man es auch versteht, habe ich noch das Eis am Stiel aus dem letzten Magnolia SommerKit dazu gestempelt :)

And YEEES! I finally got the inside of my card done again. The last weeks I didn't design the insides because it needs too much time. I'm working up to 6 hours on one of my cards and during my holidays this was too much for me. After work it is stressful, too. I'm not in bed before midnight each day *cough*. BUT I did it yesterday! The cool sentiment is from Simon Says Stamp "Woodland Creatures" set. I think it's perfect for a popsicle card. I also added the old Magnolia popsicle from last summer's clubkit to the inside :)

Meinen neuen EK Success Stanzer "Dotted Wave" konnte ich hier auch endlich einweihen. Meine Freundin Michelle war so lieb und hat mal wieder in den USA für mich geshoppt :) Die EK Success Stanzer haben echt ein ganz anderes Stanzverhalten als die Martha Stewart Stanzer. Trotzdem liebe ich die MS Stanzer und werde bestimmt auch weiterhin welche kaufen! Habe mir ja schon Halloween- und Winterstanzer vorbestellt *grins*. Tilda habe ich mit ovalen Spellbinders ausgestanzt und das Motiv dann mit 3D Pads aufgeklebt. Ohne Spellbinders geht bei mir echt gar nichts mehr.

Finally I could use my new EK Success "Dotted Wave" punch. My friend Michelle went shopping for me in the US again :) I love the EK Success punches, they are so much easier to use than the Martha Stewart punches. I nevertheless love my MS punches and will buy them in the future, too! I pre ordered some halloween- und winter punches *grin*. I cut Tilda outwith my oval Spellbinders and added the image with foam pads to my card. I really can't work without Spellbinders anymore.

So und hier ist noch der Sketch, mit dem ich euch jetzt ins Wochenende entlasse ;) Vielleicht habt ihr ja Lust an unserer neuen Challenge teilzunehmen? Ich wünsche euch auf jeden Fall ein schönes Wochenende mit etwas schönerem Wetter als hier momentan.

Heute habe ich keine Karte für euch, aber mal ein bisschen was Privates. Das wollte ich schon länger mal wieder machen, einfach mal etwas erzählen, aber irgendwie kam ich immer nicht dazu. Dann hole ich das jetzt mal nach ;)

Today I have no card but some private words for you. I really wanted to write something private on my blog the last weeks but I didn't find the time. Now I will catch it all up ;)

Natürlich ging mein Urlaub wieder viel zu schnell vorbei. Ich habe gar nicht so viel gemacht, wie ich eigentlich vorhatte, aber ich habe mich total gut erholen können und endlich mal meinen WoW Charakter auf das höchste Level gebracht. Na ja viel gestempelt habe ich auch, das habt ihr ja gesehen! An einem Tag war mit Sven bummeln, wir wollten nach neuen Schuhen für ihn gucken. Leider haben wir keine gefunden... für ihn *grins*...

Of course my holiday was way too short and time was running too fast. I didn't do as much as I thought but I did relax and finally I found the time to level up my WoW character to the highest level. And I sat a lot in my crafting room as you already saw. One day Sven and I went shopping for some new shoes for Sven. We didn't find shoes... for him *grin*.

Denn ich habe per Zufall diese Schuhe gefunden. Normalerweise bin ich ja kein so farbenfroher Mensch, aber als ich diese Schuhe sah, musste ich sie einfach kaufen. Noch dazu haben sie nicht mal 20 Euro gekostet, weil bei Karstadt alles reduziert war. Das lustigste daran ist wohl, dass es sich hierbei eigentlich um Kinderschuhe handelt, aber es gab sie in meiner Größe (und ich habe keine kleinen Füße), also habe ich sie einfach mitgenommen. Ich komme in der Woche ja immer spät nach Hause, darum nutze ich meinen Urlaub immer gerne für kleine Einkaufsbummel ;)

I found this really cute pink shoes. Normally I don't like colored clothes much but as I saw this shoes I just had to have them. And they were under 20 Euro, what a luck! The funniest thing is that they are for kids but they sold them in my size (and I don't have small feet) so I bought them. Unfortunately I'm coming home late from work in the week that's why I'm always using my holidays for shoppingtrips ;)

Als ich gestern von der Arbeit nach Hause kam, hatte ich diese tolle Rose hier auf meinem Platzset liegen. Sven hatte ein paar Lebensmittel besorgt und mir auf dem Weg nach Hause eine Rose gekauft. Wie lieb ist das bitte? Und guckt mal, sie hat auch noch eine Knospe dran. So eine Rose hatte ich bisher noch nie! Sie steht nun auf meinem Schreibtisch, damit ich sie abends immer sehen kann :)

As I came home from work yesterday Sven gave me this beautiful red rose. He did some shopping yesterday and on his way back he bought this rose for me. How cute is this? And did you see that there is also a rosebud beside the big one? I never had such a rose before! It's decorating my desk now so that I can view it all evening long :)

Und das hier muss ich euch unbedingt noch zeigen. Ich habe das Lied diese Woche erst bewusst im Radio wahrgenommen und musste natürlich gleich mal bei YouTube gucken gehen ;) Das Video ist so süß. Schaut euch mal die blauen Vögel und die genialen Tomaten in der Einkaufstasche an. Leider sind die nur viel zu kurz zu sehen!

And I have to show you this. I heard this song in the radio this week and as I didn't realize it before I had a look at YouTube ;) How cute it this video? Take a look at these blue birds and the cute tomatoes in the shopping bag. They are unfortunately not long to see!

And here I have some shopping tipps for my hometown. I visited two stores here in Hamburg and want to share my experiences here. I won't translate all this into English.

Ich brauchte ganz dringend neuen Cardstock und habe in zig Shops gesucht, weil ich unbedingt Bazzill CS haben wollte. Irgendwann ging mir die Sucherei total auf die Nerven und ich kam auf den Link vom Scrapbook-Center Hamburg. Da ich schon so genervt war, weil ich immer noch keinen CS bestellt hatte, habe ich spontan beschlossen am mittleren Sa. in meinem Urlaub dorthin zu fahren, denn Samstags haben sie von 10 - 14h geöffnet. Morgens traf ich meine Freundin Sanne im Chat und als ich ihr von meiner Idee erzählte, fand sie es so gut, dass sie mit mir zusammen zum SC-HH gefahren ist ;) Wir waren beide vorher noch nicht da gewesen und so haben wir uns den Weg nach Sasel rausgesucht und sind losgedüst. Der kleine private "Laden" ist total niedlich und was soll ich sagen?! Wenn es auch nicht unbedingt die aktuellsten Designpapier Kollektionen gab, haben wir dennoch jede Menge Papier gekauft, außerdem habe ic noch einen kleinen Erdbeerstanzer gefunden und ein bisschen Prism CS, den kannte ich noch nicht. Bazix kaufe ich ja nicht mehr! Wenn ihr also mal ein bisschen Scrapbookmaterial/Clear in HH kaufen wollt, dann lohnt sich ein Besuch dort auf jeden Fall. Ich habe mich richtig schön mit Weihnachtspapier eingedeckt, die Saison geht hier ja schon bald los ;)

Und weil uns das direkte Shoppen so viel Spaß gemacht hat (sonst hat HH ja nicht so wirklich viel zu bieten an Stempel-/Scrapbooking- oder guten Bastelgeschäften, also war ich das gar nicht gewöhnt *grins*), haben wir gleich einen Termin für einen weiteren privaten "Laden" gemacht und zwar beim Scrapbook-King hier in HH. Also ging es letzten Samstag dann zusammen mit Carola, Coni, Ine und Sanne dorthin. Ein kleiner Überfall mit all den Leuten, aber es war so nett bei Anke und Jan und was für eine schöne Auswahl sie haben! Ich konnte einfach nicht anders und habe nochmal einen ganzen Batzen Designpapier mitgenommen und Stickles (und Brads und Bommelribbon *haha*)! Wer hätte gedacht, dass ich bei mir um die Ecke so einen coolen "Laden" für Scrapbookbedarf habe?! Richtige Öffnungszeiten gibt es hier nicht, aber über den Onlineshop könnt ihr persönliche Shoppingtermine absprechen, was bei uns auch total gut geklappt hat.

Also, wenn ihr mal nach Hamburg kommt, dann kann ich euch beide Shoppingmöglichkeiten wirklich empfehlen. Es ist wirklich cool das Designpapier und den CS mal vor dem Kauf angucken zu können. Ich habe schon oft Papier online gekauft, was ich überhaupt nicht leiden mochte, als ich es dann bekam. Ich denke das Problem kennen viele von euch auch?!

DT News - Magnolia DT

Heute kann ich endlich meine Freude mit euch teilen, denn Magnolia hat den Inspirationsblog geupdated. Vor 3 Wochen bekam ich eine E-Mail von Magnolia mit der Einladung in ihr Design Team. Ihr könnt euch sicher vorstellen, wie sehr ich mich darüber gefreut habe! Ich wollte erstmal eine Nacht darüber schlafen, bevor ich zusage, aber da war ich schon aufgenommen worden. Ich hätte das Angebot aber eh nicht abschlagen können! Dass ich in meinem Urlaub etwas auf Wolke 7 geschwebt bin, kann ich euch ja jetzt auch erzählen *grins*. Ich konnte es die ganze Zeit selbst nicht glauben, bis ich meinen Namen vorhin auf dem Blog entdeckte. Ich finde es übrigens sehr schade, dass Bea anscheinend nicht mehr im Team ist, ich hatte mich auf eine Zusammenarbeit mit ihr schon gefreut.

Today I can share the wonderful DT news with you because Magnolia updated their blog. 3 weeks ago I received an e-mail from Magnolia and they asked me to join their Design Team. I'm sure you can imagine how happy I was! I wanted to sleep a night over all this but I was in the team before I said yes. But to be honest of course I would have accepted the invitation! Now I can tell you that I was on cloud 9 in my holidays *smile*. I couldn't believe it the whole time until I saw my name on the blog now. There's one sad thing I also saw, it seems that the other German DT member Bea has left the team. It's a pity because I was already looking forward to work with her.

Für meine Magnoliakarten habe ich ab sofort einen neuen Blog "Jay Jay goes Magnolia". Natürlich werde ich aber auch alle Karten weiterhin hier zeigen! Wann genau es bei Magnolia losgeht weiß ich noch nicht, mit der neuen Kollektion soll ich mein erstes DT Paket erhalten. Ich bin schon sehr gespannt!

I have a new blog for my Magnolia creations now which is "Jay Jay goes Magnolia". Of course I will show all my cards and projects still on this blog, the new one is my Magnolia only blog. I don't know when the new DT spot will start but they said I will receive my first DT parcel when the next collection will be released. I'm really looking forward to this!

Darf ich vorstellen? Das ist Bumble B. Bär! Bumble B. kommt zusammen mit seinem kleinen Zwillingsbruder, einem Honigtopf, einem Bienentstock, einer Biene, Blumen, einer Wolke und vielen niedlichen Sprüchen.

May I present Bumble B. Bear?! Bumble B. is coming together with his little twin brother, a honey pot, a beehive, a bee, some flowers and a cloud. There are also a lot of cute sentiments included.

Ich habe den Bären einfach mal in 3D gemacht. Das Bienenkostüm mit Kopf habe ich noch einmal extra aufgesetzt und dann in einer dritten Schicht noch einmal die Nase. Das lässt den knuffigen Bären gleich viel lebendiger wirken. Auch die Blume, die er in der Hand hält, habe ich noch einmal in 3D aufgesetzt.

I made a 3D bear. I added the bee costume with head to a second layer and the nose to a third with foam pads. I think this makes the cute bear looking more alive. I also added the flowers he holds in his paw in 3D.

Das SassafrasLass Papier habe ich schon seit letztem Jahr hier liegen gehabt und bisher keine Verwendung dafür, bis ich das neue Bumble B. Bear Set sah. Hier passt es optimal dazu, was meint ihr? Den Honigtopf, die Bienen und den Bienenstock habe ich jeweils mit einem leichten weißen Rand ausgeschnitten und mit 3D Pads aufgeklebt. Die Flügel der Bienen und auch die von Bumble B. habe ich mit Shimmerz "Angel Wings" bemalt.

I have the SassafrasLass pattern paper for a year now but I never had an idea to use it until I saw the new Bumble B. Bear set. I think it's matching perfectly to the bear, what do you think? I added the honey pot, the bees and the beehive with foam pads, too. The bee's and Bumble B.'s wings are colored with Shimmerz "Angel Wings".

Hier sieht man die Shimmerz noch einmal richtig gut. Die Blumen habe ich mit goldenen Spacern und kupfernen Microbrads versehen (alles von embellishments.de) und das Bienencharm habe ich noch in meiner alten Charmsammlung gefunden.

Here you can see the Shimmerz better. I used golden spacer and copper microbrads for the paper flowers (everything is from embellishments.de) and the bee charm is from my stash.

Bumble B. habe ich mit den runden Spellbinders ausgeschnitten. Damit der Rand nicht so langweilig wirkt, habe ich ihn mit Faux-Stitching aufgepeppt. Habt ihr die süße Herznase gesehen und die Herzfühler? Leider habe ich die eine Blume über den zweiten Fühler geklebt sehe ich gerade...

I cut Bumble B. out with my round Spellbinders and added some faux-stitching around the circle's edge. Did you see the cute heart nose and heart feelers? Unfortunately I glued one of the flowers over one of the feelers...

Sneak Peek - C.C. Designs Underwater Emma & Sentiments

Wie versprochen habe ich heute wieder eine bzw. sogar zwei Vorschauen auf die neuen Stempelsets, die am Montag bei All That Scraps herausgebracht werden und zwar "Underwater Sentiments" von AmyR und "Sugarplums Underwater Emma". Die Sets passen so gut zusammen, darum musste ich sie einfach kombinieren!

As promised I'm back with another sneak peek for one no two of the new stamp sets that will be released on Monday at All That Scraps. "Underwater Sentiments" by AmyR and "Sugarplums Underwater Emma". The sets are working well together that's why I really had to combine them!

Die süße Emma Merjungfrau kommt entweder einzeln oder als "Underwater Emma" Set mit vielen süßen Fischen, Steinen und Algen. Perfekt für kleine Unterwasserszenen! Amys "Underwater Sentiments" ist ein wirklich schönes neues Sprücheset perfekt auf das neue Sugarplums Set abgestimmt, aber natürlich ist es auch anderweitig einsetzbar.

Cute Emma as mermaid will be released as single stamp or coming in the "Underwater Emma" set with some cute fishes, stones and algas. It's perfect for little underwater scenes! Amy's new "Underwater Sentiments" is wonderful and can be combined well with the new Sugarplum set. Of course you can use the sentiments together with other images as well.

Das Pattern Paper habe ich aus meinem Stampavie DT Paket "geklaut". Als ich die Meerjungfrau sah, wusste ich sofort, dass ich dieses Designpaper von BoBunny dafür nehmen würde. Cardstock habe ich von Bazzill und Stampin' Up! verwendet. Da ich kein passendes Ribbon hatte, habe ich einfach einen Streifen des türkisen Cardstocks abgeschnitten und ihn mit dem Blasenprägefolder von Cuttlebug geprägt. Nun hatte ich das passende "Ribbon" *hihi*.

I took the wonderful paper off from my Stampavie DT package. As I saw the mermaid I immediately knew that I have to use the BoBunny pattern paper for her. The cardstock is Bazzill and Stampin' Up!. I didn't have a matching ribbon so I cut a piece of the Bazzill cs and embossed it with the bubbles folder from Cuttlebug. Now I had the right ribbon *heehee*.

Hier ist nochmal die kleine Emma Meerjungfrau. Ich habe sie auf den großen Stein, der mit dem Set kommt, gesetzt. Einen der Fische hat sie als Freund dazu gestempelt bekommen und die Blasen, die sind auch im Set enthalten. Diese habe ich allerdings mit blauen Halbperlen überklebt. Emmas Perlengürtel und Haarband habe ich ebenfalls mit Halbperlen beklebt, so eine kleine Meerjungfrau kann sicher nicht genug Perlen haben ;) Die kleinen blauen Halbperlen, die Papierblumen mit den braun gefärbten Rändern und die Seesternbrads habe ich von embellishments.de, den gelben Fisch hatte ich noch zwischen meinen Brads gefunden. Da die Szene fast zu groß für meine normale Kartengröße (13,5 x 13,5cm) geworden wäre, habe ich einfach den Stein auf der linken und den Fisch auf der rechten Seite zum Teil ausgeschnitten, nun kann man wenigstens einen Teil des schönen Designpapiers sehen.

Here is cute mermaid Emma again. I let her sit down on the big stone which is coming with her set. I added one of the fishes as her friend and the bubbles which are also included. For the bubbles I used different blue pearls and added white pearls to Emma's dress and hair. Little mermaids need pearls ;) The small blue pearls, paper flowers with inked brown egdes and starfish brads are from embellishments.de and the yellow fish is from my stash. As the scene would have been too big for my normal cardsize (which is 13,5 x 13,5cm) I cut out the stone and fish tail with a little white egde around. Now you can see at least some of the beautiful pattern paper.
