Anleitung: Glitzerflügel/glittering wings

Während ich das Motiv für mein letztes MIM Anleitung - Maskieren schrieb dachte ich, ich könnte euch mal zeigen wie man Flügel (oder andere Teile eines Motivs) mit Glossy Accents und Glitter verzieren kann.

While I was coloring the image for my last MIM tutorial - masking, I thought I could show you how to glitter wings (and other parts of images) with Glossy Accents and glitter.

Ihr braucht ein coloriertes Motiv, Glossy Accents und Glitter.

You need a colored image, Glossy Accents and glitter.

Tragt Glossy Accents auf die Fläche auf, die ihr beglittern möchtet.

Add the Glossy Accents to the wing or space you want to be glittery.

Streut nun Glitter über die noch feuchte Fläche. Entfernt den Glitter von den trockenen Stellen. Hierfür könnt ihr z. B. einen trockenen Pinsel verwenden.

Pour glitter over the wet Glossy accents. Tap off the extra glitter. You can use a dry brush for this step.

So könnt ihr Glitter auf jede Stelle aufbringen die ihr möchtet. Lasst das Glossy Accents einige Minuten trocknen und schon könnt ihr mit eurer Karte weitermachen. Versucht es doch mal.

Add glitter to all the spaces you want. Let the Glossy Accents/glitter dry a few minutes and then continue with your card. It dries really fast!  So go ahead and try it!

Anleitung: Box mit Herzverschluss/heart topped box

Heute habe ich eine Vorlage für eine Box mit Herzverschluss für euch, die ich gratis bei Belle's Printables gefunde haben. Die Vorlage gibt es hier.

Today I have a template for a heart topped box for you which I found at Belle's Printables for free. You'll find the template here.

Ihr braucht:

• die Vorlage (und evtl. einen Drucker)
• Cardstock
• Schere
• doppelseitiges Klebeband
• Designpapier & Deko

You need:

• the template (and a printer if you want)
• cardstock
• scissors
• doublesided tape
• pattern paper & embellishments

Ihr könnt euch die Vorlage einfach auf Cardstock ausdrucken oder eine Schablone davon machen. Das war mir in diesem Fall jedoch zu umständlich, also habe ich die Vorlage einfach direkt auf meinen Cardstock gedruckt. Ihr könnt die Box natürlich auch in verschiedenen Größen machen!

You can simply print the template on your cardstock or make a template from thicker paper from it. I thought it was easier to print it to my cardstock directly. Of course you can make the box in different sizes!

Schneidet die Vorlage aus und klebt auf die Außenseite doppelseitiges Klebeband wie oben gezeigt.

Cut out the template and add doublesided tape as shown above to the outside.

Auf der Innenseite der Box kommt nur auf eine Lasche ein Klebestreifen.

Only add one stripe to the inside of the box.

Jetzt wird schon geklebt. Erst die Lasche an der Seite nach innen, so dass ihr eine Box bekommt.

Now glue the box together. Add the box together at it's side first.

Dann der Boden. Hier klappt ihr erst die beiden kürzeren Laschen nach innen, klebt dann die lange Lasche ohne Klebeband auf und danach die mit, damit alles ordentlich hält.

Then the bottom. Put the shorter flaps to the inside, then glue the long one without tape and after that the one with tape above.

Die kleineren Laschen oben nach innen klappen und dann den den Herzverschluss schließen. Fertig!

Put the flaps on top to the inside and close the heart lock. Ready you are!

Diese Box ist wirklich sehr schnell gemacht und trotzdem eine sehr schöne Geschenkverpackung! Natürlich könnt ihr vor dem Zusammenkleben auch kleine Fenster in die Seiten stanzen und die Seiten dekorieren.

This box is easy and fast to made but nevertheless a beautiful gift wrapping! Of course you can also add small windows to the boxes sides or decorate the outside.

Anleitung: Twisted Easel Card

Ihr habt bestimmt schon Twisted Easel Karte (twisted easel = gedrehte Staffelei) im www gesehen. Wer diese Kartenform erfunden hat, ist mir leider nicht bekannt, aber ich möchte euch heute zeigen wie man so eine Karte macht. Das ist auch gar nicht schwer und macht doch echt was her ;).

I guess you've already seen twisted easel cards in the www during the last weeks. Unfortunately I don't know who had the idea for this kind of card but I want to show you how to make one. It's not that difficult and looks wonderful ;).

Ihr braucht:
Falzbrett und/oder Falzbein und Lineal
1 Bogen Cardstock 30,5 x 30,5 cm
3D Pads
Stempelmotiv/e
Designpapier
Kleber
Dekorationen evtl. Stanzteil(e)

You need:
score board and/or bone folder and ruler
1 sheet of cardstock 12" x 12"
foam pads
stamped image(s)
pattern paper
glue
embellishments, if possible die cut(s)

Schneidet euren Cardstockbogen in der Mitte durch, so dass ihr einen Streifen in der Größe 30,5 x 15,25cm  (12" x 6") habt. Diesen falzt ihr nun in der Länge bei 15,25cm (6"), also genau in der Mitte.

Cut your cardstock sheet in the half so that you get a strip of 12" x 6". Fold your cardstock strip on the length at 6" (in the middle).

Dreht den Cardstockstreifen so um, dass jetzt die kurze Seite oben liegt und falzt eine Diagonale wie im Bild zu sehen.

Turn your cardstock strip so that the short edge is on top and fold a diagonal like seen on the picture.

Wenn ihr die Karte jetzt zuklappt, dann sollte es so aussehen.

If you close your card it should look like this.

Wenn ihr den "Deckel" jetzt nach oben schiebt, erhaltet ihr schon die Form, um die es bei der Twisted Easel Karte geht. War gar nicht schwer, stimmt's?

Now move the cover backwards. You can already see the twisted easel. It wasn't that difficult, was it?

Nun benötigt ihr ein weiteres Stück Cardstock in der Größe 15,25 x 15,25cm (6" x 6"). Dieses wird später auf das entstandene Dreieck geklebt. Bitte klebt den Cardstock aber jetzt noch nicht auf!

Now you need another piece of cardstock sized 6" x 6". You will add it to the triangle on the cover later. Please don't glue the cardstock to it now!

Erst müssen die einzelnen Kartenteile ja noch dekoriert werden! Dies ist nur ein Gestaltungsbeispiel und die Papiere sind hier auch nur als Veranschaulichung auf dem Cardstock befestigt. Der Stempel hält den oberen Teil zurzeit geöffnet, ohne ihn würde die Karte wieder zugehen. Das bedeutet, dass ihr unbedingt einen "Stopper" (ein etwas höher stehendes Dekoartionsteil) in euren unteren Teil einbauen müsst, der die Karte später geöffnet hält. Beachtet dies' bitte bei der  Dekoration eures Kartenunterteils!

First you have to decorate the single card parts! This is only a sample for a layout. The papers aren't glued to the cardstock yet. At the moment the stamp is holding the card open. If I would remove it, the card would close. This means that you need a "stopper" (a part that is higher than the rest of your layout) on the bottom part of your card. Please remember this when decorating your card bottom!

Bei mir dient das Tag (Stanzteil) als Stopper, ich habe es mit höheren 3D Pads aufgeklebt, damit der obere Kartenteil später dagegengestellt werden kann und die Karte geöffnet stehen bleibt.

I used a tag (die cut) as a stopper which is adhered with 3D/foam pads. It will later hold the card open.

Wenn ihr dann auch den oberen Part fertig gestaltet habt, passt bitte auf, dass ihr den "Deckel" nicht verkehrt herum aufklebt! Würdet ihr den oberen Teil einfach so aufkleben, würde eurer Motiv nachher schräg stehen.

When your upper part of the card is finished you have to glue it to the cover. Please don't glue it like this! If you would glue it like this your image would later be in the wrong position.

So ist es richtig. Passt auf, dass ihr euren oberen Teil der Karte nur auf das schraffierte Stück Cardstock aufklebt, denn sonst klappt das mit dem Twisted Easel Effekt nicht!

This is correct. Please watch that you only add glue to the shaded part of the cover because otherwise you wouldn't get the twisted easel effect!

Wenn eure Karte nun so aussieht, dann habt ihr alles richtig gemacht!

Von der anderen Seite sieht die Karte dann so aus. Hier könnt ihr den "Stopper" auch noch einmal besser erkennen. Ob ihr die Karte nun auf der unteren oder oberen Rückseite beschriftet bleibt euch natürlich selbst überlassen.

This is how it looks from the other side. Here you can also see how the "stopper" works. You can of course decide by your own if you want to add your greetings underneath the card or on the card's backside.

Ich hoffe, dass euch diese Anleitung die Twisted Easel Karte etwas näherbringen konnte und ihr evtl. auch  eine machen möchtet. Ich bin jedenfalls ganz begeistert von dieser Kartenvariante und werden mit Sicherheit in Zukunft noch mehr davon machen.

Anleitung: Kalenderkarte/calendar card

Wie wäre es mal mit einer Kalenderkarte zum Jahresanfang? Um diese Kartenart geht es nämlich in meinem heutigen Post.

Ihr braucht:

Cardstock 10,5 x 29,7 cm und 10,5 x 14,85 cm

Für die Easelkarte braucht ihr zwei Stücke Cardstock in den Größen 10,5 x 29,7 cm und 10,5 x 14,85 cm. Das große Stück Cardstock falzt ihr erst in der Mitte und dann die eine Seite noch einmal in der Mitte. So wie auf dem Foto zu sehen.

I made my calendar in DIN A6 size. You need two pieces of cardstock. One 4 1/8" x 11 3/4" and the other one 4 1/8" x 5 7/8". Fold the bigger piece in the middle and then again in the middle like shown on the picture above.

Nun schneidet ihr euch das Designpapier passend zurecht. Ihr braucht eine Kartenfront und den "Innenteil". Die Halbperlen dienen hier als Stopper, um die Karte später aufstellen zu können.

Decorate the front and the "inner" piece of cardstock like shown above or like you want! Add pearls or gemstones as stopper for the easel part.

Wenn ihr die Kartenfront und das Innenleben fertig habt, dann klebt ihr die Kartenfront mit der Rückseite auf die leere Cardstockfläche. Fertig seid ihr! Und natürlich könnt ihr die Karte auch im Querformat oder quadratisch machen.

Add the front piece to the easel space which is the free space here! And ready you are! Of course you can also rotate the whole thing and work with the landscape format or bigger format.

Anleitung: Adventskalenderkarte/advent calendar card

Als ich mal im Internet gestöbert habe, ist mir eine total coole Idee über den Weg gelaufen und zwar eine Adventskalenderkarte.

While I was surfing through the www I found a cool idea for an advent calendar card.

Die gefiel mir so gut, dass ich sie unbedingt nachmachen musste und so habe ich auch gleich eine Anleitung dafür geschrieben.

I liked the idea so much that I had to try it myself and I took the chance to write a tutorial for it.

Ihr braucht:

Cardstock

Designpapier

Schneidemaschine

Bindemaschine + Ringe (1/2")/Drahtschneider/Crop-a-Dile

Kleber, Schere & Co.

Dekoration

cardstock

tying machine + rings 1/2")/ wire cutter/Crop-a-Dile
glue, scissors & co.

Für die Grundkarte schneidet ihr euch ein Stück Cardstock in 15 x 21 cm zurecht. Dieses falzt ihr an der langen Seite bei 10,5 cm.

For the card's base you need a 6" x 8.3" piece of cardstock . Score it in the middle.

Dann braucht ihr noch ein Stück Cardstock in der gleichen Farbe in 15 x 10 cm. Gefalzt wird an der kurzen Seite bei 2,5, 5 und 7,5 cm - wie auf dem Bild zu sehen.

Then you need a piece of cardstock in the size 6" x 4". Score from the short side at 1", 2" and 3".

Die einzelnen Kalenderblätter habe ich aus Designpapier geschnitten und zwar in der Größe 5 x 5 cm. Ihr braucht hiervon 24 Stück.

I cut the single calendar sheets from pattern paper (2" x 2"). You need 24/25 of them.

Als Dekoration habe ich ein Stück Cardstock auf 6 x 7,5 cm geschnitten und dieses dann noch mit einem roten Stück Cardstock unterlegt. Hier habe ich die untere Seite noch mit einem Bordürenstanzer verschönert.

I cut a 2.4" x 3" piece of cardstock as decoration for my calendar sheets and added another cardstock layer which I primped with a border punch.

Jetzt klebt ihr die Kartenfront zusammen.

Now glue the card's front together.

Tipp 1: Wenn ihr die Außenänder inken wollt, dann macht es bitte jetzt. Ich wollte das später machen, aber wenn erstmal die Ringe drin sind, dann geht das nicht mehr wirklich.

Tip 1: If you want to ink the edges please do it before glueing. When the rings are added you won't be able to ink every side anymore.

Tipp 2: An der oberen Seite habe ich die einzelnen Schichten nicht mit doppelseitigem Klebeband sondern mit Flüssigkleber geklebt, damit ich mir beim Stanzen später meine Geräte nicht ruiniere.

Tip 2: I didn't adhere the top layers with doublesided tape but with fluid glue because I didn't want to ruin my tools later.

Nun locht ihr die 24 Kalenderblätter. Ich habe hierfür die Bind It All Maschine genommen. Da die Bind It All immer 6 Löcher stanzt und ich auf der Karte nur 4 brauche, habe ich mir einfach eine Schablone gestanzt und die 4 benötigten Löcher auf der Karte markiert. Die Löcher selbst habe ich dann mit der Crop-a-Dile gestanzt (größeres Loch).

Now make holes into all 24/25 calendar sheets. I used my Bind It All machine for this step. As the Bind It All always cuts 6 holes and I only needed 4 for my card's base I made me a template. I marked the 4 holes with a pencil and cut them with my Crop-a-Dile tool (I used the bigger hole).

Mit dem Drahtschneider habe ich meinen Bindedraht gekürzt und in die Karte geschoben. Nun kommen noch die Kalenderblätter obendrauf und dann wird das Ganze geschlossen.

I cut the wire rings with a wire cutter and added them to the card. Now you still need to add the calendar sheets and close the whole thing.

Das sieht dann so aus.

Jetzt wird der Zwischenteil eingeklebt. Wenn ihr mögt, könnt ihr auch erst die Kalenderblätter und die Karte weiter gestalten, das geht evtl. etwas einfacher. Entscheidet einfach selbst.

Now adhere the middle part. If you want you can first decorate the card and then add the middle part. It may be  a bit easier.

Mit dem Zwischenteil kann die Karte von selbst stehen und dabei nicht auseinander rutschen kann.

With the middle part the card is able to stand by itself and it won't slide apart.

Und jetzt geht's ans Dekorieren! Eurer Kreativität sind keine Grenzen gesetzt!

Now decorate your card. The sky's the limit!

Da ich keinen Weihnachtscountdown sondern eine richtige Adventskalenderkarte machen wollte, habe ich jedes Kalenderblatt individuell mit passenden Stanzteilen gestaltet. So hat man jeden Tag eine neue Überraschung!

As I didn't want to make a Christmas countdown but a real advent calendar card I decorated every single calendar sheet with matching die cuts. This way you have every day another little surprise.

Also ich finde Mariannes Idee superklasse und hatte viel Spaß beim Werkeln meiner Adventskalenderkarte. Noch ist genügend Zeit. Vielleicht habt ihr ja auch Lust euch an so einer Karte zu versuchen. Wer kein Bindegerät hat, kann ja mal versuchen die Kalenderblätter mit zwei Löchern und schönem Schleifenband zu binden, das geht bestimmt auch.

I really like Marianne's idea and I had a lot of fun while creating my advent calendar card. There still is enough time. Maybe you also want to try one of these cards. If you don't have a tying machine you could try it with two  holes and ribbons.
